Last day

Last day at mustard seed academy today and then off to Kampala for the conference. We will be saying our goodbyes shortly. Heading home thursday night! I really miss you guys!

Just having lunch..rice and cabbage. They feed you enormous amounts here! The children eat the same thing just about every day for breakfast lunch and dinner. They only get meat maybe once every 2 months. I got some pictures from the safari on my phone but they are hard to see. The children are having a great time and are very excited to be here.

Spectacular

We are getting ready to take the 45children on a safari. The lodge we stayed in was spectacular. Here is an outside view.

Mahingo lodge

Wr arrived at the lodge..it is beautiful. Heading out soon on a boat safari and a night time safari..that is where we will see leapords and hyena. Our room is gorgeous and there are lots of monkeys!

Health team

Today we learned about malaria. The kids sang and played the drums. I will try to put the video on facebook.

Dance

We met some kids from a village and they did a dance for us..they were amazed to see themselves..it was funny. If you go on my facebook it is already logged in. You can see it there.

Preschool

Today we got to work with the preschool and teach them some American games. The three and four year olds were very cute. We played ring around the rosie and duck duck goose. We will be teaching the five year olds the hokey pokey in a little while. We saw this little girl..maybe two years old asleep on the side of the road. And under a bush we saw some baby chicks resting. I have pictures of that on my camera. Miss you guys!

Animals

Teaching at primary 6 today about the animals we may see on the safari. After that we are visiting another orphanange whose parents have died from HIV/AIDS. Yesterday we went on a home visit for a girl who lives with her grandmother and is infected with HIV. She is refusing to take her medicine.

Art class

Today we are ibserving art class. I am so impressed with their curriculum here. We have a short day today because the teachers are coming back to the monistary to learn how to take the lessons being taught and applying what they have learned to life in the community. Its amazing!
